The Problem:

“Students receive little or no advice on how to generate ideas or explore their thoughts, [this leads to them feeling] insecure or paralyzed by rules.”
- Lawrence Oliver

Students are often pressured to achieve specific results, ignoring critical aspects like questioning, ideation, and experimentation. When this happens, essential processes such as analysis, synthesis, and communication are overlooked.

This narrow focus, stifles creativity, and discourages critical thinking.

Goals:

The Art Assignment App seeks to empower students by providing them with the guidance they need to:

  • Navigate and overcome feelings of insecurity, self-doubt, and creative paralysis.

  • Encourage experimentation instead of following rigid rules.

  • Make art more approachable and enjoyable.

Names, characters, businesses, places, events, locales, and incidents are either the products of reality, collections of atoms, our imagination, or bits used in a fictitious manner.

Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is either authentic and/or purely coincidental: a sequence of events that although accidental seems to have been planned or arranged—  "as are we all."
